Hi Team!

January is shaping up to be another exciting month of important milestones and fun team activities!

Last Thursday, we held our grand opening festivities for the Thomas Comprehensive Center on the Bethesda North Campus. Over 100 area dignitaries attended the ribbon cutting ceremony, and more than 400 TriHealth team members and physicians participated in open house tours throughout the day. The celebrations were widely covered by  area news outlets – including Local 12 and The Enquirer, and we also ran a Facebook Live stream of the ribbon cutting that has had more than 1,600 views to date.

Last week, we also wrapped up our January series of Team Member Forums held at multiple sites across the system. During these Forums, Jenny Skinner, David Cook and I had the opportunity to meet and speak with thousands of team members and physicians who participated both in-person and through the live streaming options. A big “thank you” to all who took the time to attend to hear important system updates and share your questions and feedback. Look for a summary report of Forum key themes and Frequently Asked Questions, which we will post on The Bridge over the next few days.

This week, on January 22, we officially mark a significant and “celebratory” historic milestone for TriHealth – our 25th Anniversary as a health system! I’ll devote my February 4th Weekly Update to this momentous anniversary, which we plan to celebrate with many team events throughout the year. More details to come!

And next week, we will again bring all TriHealth leaders together for our 15th quarterly Leadership Development Institute (LDI) at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. The theme, One Leadership Voice, will support our renewed commitment in 2020 to build a world-class culture which supports and celebrates our team members and physicians in their work of delivering on our sacred promise to get healthcare right — better care, better health, better value – for all those we serve. As always, expect to hear from your leaders soon after the LDI about what they learned and what it means to your team and your local efforts, as we continue our work of mastering and hardwiring The TriHealth Way – all to better serve our patients and community!

Thank you for supporting our leaders as they take the necessary time away from their daily responsibilities to participate in this important LDI…so ultimately, we can be better, more consistent and responsive servant leaders for you!

Weekly Huddle Message: Share Your Safety & Reliability Story
Whether you’ve used one of our Safety & Reliability Tools at work or in your personal life, we all have examples when these tools have prevented a mistake, or perhaps could have prevented a mistake. Maybe you repeated an answer back from a friend to know the time and location of dinner, or a fellow team member found a spelling error while peer checking, or maybe you even voiced a safety concern over a situation at work. Whatever it is, we would love to hear your stories to help inspire others! Email safety@trihealth.com to share.
