The Goldstein Family Grief Center provides free grief services to loved ones of Hospice of Cincinnati patients and anyone who may need grief services in the community. The newest initiative of the Goldstein Family Grief Center is surrounding COVID-loss related topics.

The first service is a one session workshop on separation during COVID workshop geared toward loved ones and caregivers of long-term care facility residents, taking place on March 4. The second is a 6-week virtual support group beginning on March 16. Both are offered free of charge to the public– attendees do not need to have a loved one in Hospice of Cincinnati’s care to participate. See below for more information.

Hospice of Cincinnati is offering a seminar via Zoom to support caregivers and families as they continue to cope with separation from loved ones in a long-term care facility due to COVID.

The session, led by grief counselors and chaplains, will focus on:
  • Losses associated with extended separation.
  • Coping techniques including rituals from various faith traditions and mindfulness practices.
  • Steps caregivers and families can take to remain connected during this time.
This workshop will take place on Thursday, March 4 from 5:00-6:15pm.

Event held via Zoom and registration is required.

Coping with the death of a loved one is challenging no matter when the loss occurs. However, those who have experienced the death of a loved as a result of COVID are facing even greater challenges coping, grieving and mourning their losses.

A new 6-week support group is being offered specifically for those who have lost a loved one to COVID-19. This group is designed to connect and support those who are navigating this unique grief.

The next support group begins on Tuesday, March 16 and will meet from 12:00-1:00pm for 6 weeks. Additional groups will be added as needed

Event held via Zoom and registration is required.

Love this - so many are suffering with the isolation of loved ones in nursing homes and loss due to COVID.
