TriHealth Bridge

March 14, 2014

A year since it opened, TriHealth Priority Care Glenway celebrated this month with an anniversary cake, a few visitors and a lot to look forward to in the coming months.

Doctors and staff hosted a small reception at the location on the west side to commemorate its March 2013 opening date and the initial launch of the Priority Care concept. A second site opened in Mason in May 2013.

Priority Care offers physician-staffed, walk-in care for urgent, but less-than-emergent issues, such as broken bones, minor sports- and work-related injuries, minor burns and wounds. Locations provide X-rays and laboratory tests on site for certain conditions.

The Glenway location has a range of experience in its team members, and they've provided quality care for the community in the past year, said Jeffrey Heist, regional manager for TriHealth Priority Care.

The location recently agreed to pilot extended hours on weekdays to accommodate patients who have sought after-hours care at non-TriHealth urgent care sites.

This month, the Glenway and Mason Priority Care locations will reward visitors to its open houses with a chance to win four tickets to the April 11 Cincinnati Reds game and accompany Bob Herzog, dressed as Willy Wonka, to the mound to throw the first pitch.

In addition to community support, the Glenway location has provided a positive work environment. There has been no staff turnover in the past year, Heist said.

"People seem to be very happy at the site," he said.
