TriHealth Bridge

May 22, 2013

TriHealth has launched a new type of care to round out the full complement of services available to patients. TriHealth Priority Care, first opened on Glenway in March 2013, opened a second location in the Mason area on Monday, May 20.

These unique providers offer walk-in care staffed by physicians for urgent, but less-than-emergent issues. In doing so, the offices serve as an extension of the primary medical home (PMH) model, supplementing area physician practices by having extended hours on evenings, weekends and most holidays.

Whether it's a twisted ankle when a physician office doesn't have any openings, or a child with a sore throat on a Saturday, families can now turn to walk-in care within the TriHealth system

Not intended as a substitute for primary care, Priority Care can help enhance the PCP's relationship with their patients by providing them access to information about the care their patients receive. A connected medical record means a better patient experience throughout the TriHealth system.

When patients present in need of a PCP or specialist, they will be referred to one of TriHealth's providers.
