Hi Team –

Today is Election Day, our opportunity as U.S. citizens to exercise our civic duty to vote for candidates and ballot issues at the local and national level, which is a cornerstone of our democracy. If you haven’t done so already, please make every effort to cast your votes during this important election.

Welcome Cindy Adams, New TriHealth Chief Nursing Executive

  • Please join me in extending a warm TriHealth welcome to Cindy Adams, our new Chief Nursing Executive (CNE) who officially joined TriHealth yesterday.
  • Cindy brings to TriHealth four decades of progressive clinical leadership experience, most recently as CNE for St. Vincent Health System in Indianapolis.
  • In addition to being an accomplished, highly experienced nursing leader, Cindy also embodies the traits and values of our TriHealth culture. In fact, she decided to join TriHealth largely because of our people, our culture, and our bold vision to Get Healthcare Right.
  • As importantly, please join me in thanking Maria Ashdown for capably serving as interim CNE since Jenny Skinner retired at the end of FY24.
  • Maria helped lead impressive improvements in staffing and reduction in falls and harm events, along with greater consistency in patient experience during this transitional period.
  • Maria will continue in her role as Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) of Good Samaritan Hospital where she oversees our Emergency Departments. And I am excited to announce that Maria will take on an expanded system role with responsibilities for leading patient experience in our hospitals and acute care settings.
  • Over the next month, we’ll be hosting a number of welcome receptions for Cindy at our hospitals, Norwood, and Baldwin to give team members and physicians an opportunity to meet and get to know Cindy. Stay tuned for further details.

TriHealth, Beacon Expand Partnership with Miami University Athletics

  • Partnerships are in TriHealth’s DNA. And as yet another example of our winning partnerships, I’m pleased to announce TriHealth has forged a new 10-year partnership with Miami University and Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.
  • This new agreement makes TriHealth and Beacon the official sports medicine providers for Miami University’s Athletics Program, which serves more than 500 NCAA Division I student-athletes across 19 varsity sports.
  • This is a natural progression in the longstanding relationship between TriHealth and Miami University, in which TriHealth has provided the full range of healthcare services to students, faculty, and staff through the student medical center, as well as McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital.
  • Partnering with high schools and colleges in and around Cincinnati is a vital way we support the area’s short- and long-term healthcare needs, which ultimately helps us fulfill our mission to improve the health of all those we serve. And this is just one more way we are Getting Healthcare Right!

New Provider Onboarding

  • Last month, I joined Dr. Betsy Peerless and Stephanie Brooks along with other TriHealth leaders and clinicians in welcoming nearly 75 TriHealth physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) at our most recent New Provider Onboarding Academy (NPOA) session.
    • This was by far the largest NPOA “class” with the most new providers ever, representing 30 specialties and service lines across TriHealth!
  • With physicians and APPs serving as the “face” of TriHealth for so many of our patients, these onboarding programs are an important way we introduce and align our new providers with the TriHealth Way of Serving and Delivering Care – the shared values and foundational practices that set TriHealth apart from others in Greater Cincinnati and help to consistently bring our brand promise to life for every patient we serve.

Last Chance to Get Your Flu Shot, November 8

  • Getting a flu shot each year is one of the simplest and most effective ways we can do our part to protect our patients and each other from harm.
  • This is why all team members, physicians, and volunteers are required to get a flu vaccination unless a medical or religious declination has been requested and approved.
  • The deadline to get your flu vaccine is this Friday, November 8. It’s fast, free, and easy to do at TriHealth, so please make every effort to get yours this week! Visit Bridge for details.

Seeing, Hearing and Thanking Our Team with a Holiday Meal

  • As we approach the season of Thanksgiving, I’m excited to share that TriHealth is once again partnering with The Honey Baked Ham Company to provide all team members, physicians, and volunteers with a complimentary family meal this holiday season!
  • This is just one, among many, special TriHealth traditions – including Kings Island, Reds tickets, raffle giveaways, holiday meals, t-shirts and apparel, and more – that we express our heartfelt gratitude to you and your families for all you do to help us Get Healthcare Right throughout the year.
  • The holiday family meal includes your choice of a ham, a turkey breast, or two sides and a pie!
  • Be on the lookout next Tuesday, November 12 for an email with your custom voucher code to claim your Honey Baked Ham meal. Visit Bridge for full details.
  • In addition, we will also once again enjoy an in-person team holiday meal together at our hospitals, ambulatory campuses, and all other sites throughout TriHealth during the December holiday season. Look for complete details coming soon.

Mark Your Calendar: Town Hall Next Tuesday, November 12

  • Be sure to join us next Tuesday, November 12 at noon on Bridge for our next Team Member Town Hall.
  • We will share the latest updates on our work to Get Healthcare Right, celebrate wins, answer your questions, and give away some really cool TriHealth prizes to those who join the conversation!

Our TriHealth spirit was on full display for Halloween last Thursday, as evidenced by the festive costumes and fun celebrations taking place throughout the system – all to put a smile on the faces of our patients, guests, and fellow team members! Click here to see a gallery of even more fun pictures of Halloween at TriHealth last week. And THANK YOU for always putting your heart and spirit into everything we do to CARE for each other and all those we serve!
