Hi Team –

I hope you are continuing to make the most of this beautiful and more moderate summer weather, and all that our Greater Cincinnati region offers with outdoor activities and fun in the sun! And speaking of fun in the sun...

  • Fun All Summer Long with TriHealth

    • Mark your calendars for Tuesday, August 6 when our ticketing site opens for the TriHealth Summer Celebration at Kings Island. Click here for details.

    • And don't forget, there is still time to catch a Cincinnati Reds game this season, compliments of TriHealth! More than 8,000 team members have already enjoyed a Reds game this season. If you haven’t yet claimed your two free tickets, click here to order them today!
  • Leadership Development Institute Takes Place this Wed., July 24

    • As a reminder, our 800+ leaders and physician leaders will be off-site tomorrow participating in our 29th Leadership Development Institute (LDI) at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center.

    • Your leadership team will be coming together to share leadership principles and practices, and to develop the necessary skills to build a more reliable organization through common purpose, clear expectations, personal growth and a culture of accountability… all as part of our work to achieve breakthrough performance in FY25 and beyond!

    • Why is achieving “breakthrough performance” important? Because this is HOW we deliver on our “brand promise” of surprisingly human care that drives exceptional health outcomes for EVERY patient we serve, EVERY time!

    • Thank you, as always, for supporting your leaders as they take the necessary time away from your department or unit and their daily responsibilities to participate in this important LDI – all to become even better servant leaders for YOU!

  • Getting Healthcare Right: TriHealth and Anthem Blue Cross Partner to Deliver Better Care, Better Health, and Better Value

    • Fostering strategic partnerships with the “best of the best” to Get Healthcare Right for all those we serve is in our DNA.

    • In fact, TriHealth itself is the product of such a partnership that was forged in the mid-1990s when Bethesda and Good Sam came together.

    • And one such partnership – with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield – demonstrates HOW we can leverage our respective strengths – insurance and delivery of healthcare services – to accelerate improvement in clinical outcomes, experience of care, patient health, and overall value through transformative population health care and financing models.

    • Building on a decades-long relationship, TriHealth and Anthem began working in 2019 on innovative, value-based care delivery and payment methodologies as an alternative to traditional fee-for-service models that unintentionally reward “quantity” over “quality” of outcomes and often result in episodic and fragmented care. And we are doing this through:

      • data sharing and analysis that identifies opportunities to close gaps in care,

      • shared care management of patients with chronic conditions,

      • regular meetings to improve processes and operational efficiencies, and

      • rewarding what matters most… improved health and greater affordability.

    • This partnership has created measurable improvements in: preventive care delivery, chronic disease management, emergency room use, healthcare cost trends, and most importantly, overall patient health. Check out our TriHealth webpage here to learn more about why and how TriHealth patients are healthier, care is safer and more accessible, and services are more affordable than most other health systems.

    • By partnering with payers like Anthem and embracing best practices and innovative technology to deliver higher quality, proactive care, we are improving the healthcare experience for patients, physicians, and team members and improving the health of our community.

    • Click here to read the story about how this partnership is improving health outcomes for thousands of patients.

  • Telling Our Story: How Population Health is Making a Difference in the Lives of Patients

    • And our work with Anthem and other payers – and the impressive health outcomes we are achieving – is getting noticed!

    • To help tell this story to our larger community, I was joined by Anthem President, Jane Peterson, TriHealth Population Health Organization President, Dr. Raymond Metzger, and TriHealth patient, Patti Needham, for a special interview with Local12 News healthcare reporter, Liz Bonis.

    • The feature story, which you can view here, details how our partnership with Anthem is improving health outcomes and affordability for patients, just like Patti. Patti worked with her TriHealth care team to lower her A1C level by nearly three percent, which resolved all of her symptoms and is enabling her to live a healthier, more enjoyable life.

    • And THAT’s what Getting Healthcare Right is all about!!

  • July Team Member Town Hall Recap
    • In case you were unable to join us last Wednesday for our monthly Team Member Town Hall, click here to watch the full recording.
    • Our July Town Hall covered a number of important topics including our FY25 budget, ongoing investments in our people, culture and facilities, plans for our upcoming Summer Celebration at Kings Island, and how we are improving the patient experience.

Today, because of our collective efforts to be our best – and do our best – for all those we serve and those we serve beside, we can confidently say we ARE Getting Healthcare Right! Our care is continually improving with respect to access, quality, and value; our patients are healthier and more satisfied – feeling increasingly “seen, heard, and healed;” and we are working hard to listen and respond to your feedback, so we can continue to make TriHealth an even better place for you to work and practice. THANK YOU for helping us lead the way in Getting Healthcare Right!
