Through partnerships with local community agencies, the TriHealth Women's Services van will provide no-cost mammograms during the holiday season.
The program, Hope for the Holidays, improves access to breast screenings, which women 40 and older should receive on an annual basis.
Through the Parish Nurse Program, the Good Samaritan Free Health Center of Price Hill, and more, TriHealth makes health care accessible to people who might otherwise neglect their health due to financial difficulties. Last year, Hope for the Holidays performed 48 no-cost mammograms.
"Faith, love and hope, three words that we most often see associated with breast cancer awareness. With the TriHealth mission, to improve the health status of the people we serve, the TriHealth Women's Services Van is trying to do our part in spreading a little faith, love and hope this holiday season with the second annual Hope for the Holidays," said Nyota Stoker, coordinator of TriHealth's mobile mammography program.
"We Hope that by providing no-cost mammograms to women in need, who otherwise would not receive a mammogram, that we are able to lighten the burden on a few families, who may be more concerned about making ends meet rather than their own health."
The van will provide mammograms at the following times and locations:

- 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4
