Several members of TriHealth's URGE Team Member Resource Group attended the sold-out Human Rights Campaign Gala Feb. 28 with their partners and spouses.
It was a night of celebration of triumph, as Cincinnati Councilman Chris Seelbach was presented with an award for his work on diversity and inclusion for LGBT citizens of Cincinnati. Kroger's ERG, A-OK also received accolades for its corporate stance on equal rights for LGBT workers and customers.
Comedian Dana Goldberg emceed the event and hosted the live auction that took place after dinner. There was also a silent auction, and the call was put out to compete with Columbus for the highest amount raised by joining the HRC Federal Club donors.
"It was a very lively crowd, and feelings of pride were permeable throughout the venue," said Julianna Bailey, Good Samaritan Breast Center supervisor and URGE member. "This was the first time I have attended an HRC Gala, and I couldn't have been more proud to be a team member of TriHealth, a Bronze sponsor of the event."
Jamie Easterling showed his support for HRC and URGE with his attendance as a Diversity Advisory Council Executive Sponsor, demonstrating TriHealth's values of Respect for All People and Valuing Differences.
