When Good Samaritan Firestarters put out a request for canned food donations, TriState Benefit Solutions made it a friendly competition.

The department split into two teams with two managers as captains of each team. Between the two groups, TBS collected 1,025 items - from canned food to hats and gloves.

All items will go to Our Daily Bread, which provides more than 500 warm meals per day and emergency assistance for men, women and children in Over-the-Rhine and the west end.

The entire TBS department will receive a warm meal, too. Managers from the team that collected fewer items in the two-week TBS competition will provide breakfast to the department.

Tracey Rucker and Margie McAdow were captains for "The Hunters" team, which won the competition. Brett Kirkpatrick and Jennifer Hodge led "TBS Turkeys."
