TriHealth welcomes five physicians and 13 team members of Pulmonary Consultants Inc., a pulmonary group practice for adults.

The practice will now be known as TriHealth Pulmonary Medicine. The group will continue see patients at their primary location in Montgomery (10496 Montgomery Road) with satellite locations in Anderson, Bethesda Arrow Springs, Bethesda Butler and Bethesda North sleep centers.  

Current patients of TriHealth Pulmonary Medicine will continue to see their same physicians and will now benefit from a comprehensive range of services available in the TriHealth system, including primary care and specialty physicians, Bethesda North, Good Samaritan, Bethesda Butler, TriHealth Evendale and TriHealth Fitness & Health Pavilion.

"Partnering with TriHealth means our patients will have access to the entire TriHealth system," said Joseph E. Thorpe MD, founding member of Pulmonary Consultants Inc.

"We are pleased to be the latest medical specialty physician practice to join TriHealth, as the organization seeks to better coordinate care between hospital based specialists."

TriHealth Pulmonary Medicine physicians works alongside hospitalists, critical care specialists, infectious disease physicians and others who do the majority of their patient care inside the hospital.

About the Physicians

• Craig A. Eisentrout MD has been practicing medicine with Pulmonary Consultants, Inc., since 1993. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in June 1982. Dr. Eisentrout currently serves on the Bethesda Foundation Board of Trustees and the Bethesda Incorporated Board of Trustees. He is the former President of the Medical staff at Bethesda North Hospital and the current ICU Medical Director at the hospital.
• Michael J. Halvonik has been with Pulmonary Consultants Inc. since 2003 and been practicing internal medicine in Cincinnati since 1988. Dr. Halvonik completed his Pulmonary Disease/Critical care fellowship at the University of Cincinnati and is a graduate of the Albany Medical College, New York.
• Junaid S.A. Malik MD currently serves as the Co-Director of the TriHealth Sleep Center and has been with Pulmonary Consultants Inc. since 2005. Dr. Malik completed his Sleep Medicine Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit in June, 2005.
• Mohammad A. Sheatt MD has been with Pulmonary Consultants Inc. since 2005. He has completed postdoctoral training at both Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York, as well as the University of Connecticut.
• Joseph E. Thorpe MD has been with Pulmonary Consultants practicing Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine since 1986. He earned his Medical Degree from The Ohio State University. Dr. Thorpe is chief of the Pulmonary Division at Bethesda North and serves as the co-chairman of the Pulmonary Division at TriHealth.
