TriHealth Bridge

November 08, 2013

An Internal Medicine team from TriHealth placed fourth in this year's statewide Doctor's Dilemma Competition, sponsored by the American College of Physicians.

The team was composed of Sajid Farooq MD (PGY3), Ryan Pack DO (PGY3) and Samer Alsamman MD (PGY2). Alternates were Bilal Khan MD (PGY2) and Manuel Castro MD (PGY2). ]

Nick Pleat DO (PGY3) practiced with the team, but could not join them due to a fellowship interview.

The team practiced for several months before the competition and it paid off. They won in the Individual Round, advanced to the Championship Round, and once again scored well enough to continue on to the Final Jeopardy Round.

Program Director Scott Friedstrom MD, FACP, is proud of his residents - led by Associate Program Director Michelle Yee Louis MD, FACP - and their excellent representation of TriHealth and the Good Samaritan Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program.
