TriHealth Connect will upgrade its current Epic 2010 software to the latest version, Epic 2012, on Sunday, May 12. With this upgrade, users of TriHealth's electronic medical records system will notice visual changes, improved functionality and new features. Epic 2012 upgrades include:

  • Easier navigation and reduced scrolling on the Medical Administration Record (MAR), which has been rearranged and condensed
  • Improved flow sheet navigation with short-cut keys and other features to allow users to easily navigate the information and document 
  • Revised Patient Directory allowing a search of all admitted patients without knowing on which unit the patient is staying
  • Improved and redesigned user interface for Patient Lists
  • New Orders Activity feature, which includes review of all patient orders and view order changes. Also includes ability to view associate orders with appropriate surgery when multiple surgeries are occurring
  • More complete, patient-friendly discharge instructions
  • Improved data tracking

Corporate Education will provide E-Learn modules, open computer lab sessions, tip sheets and floor support to facilitate a smooth transition to Epic 2012. E-Learn modules will be assigned and available by Monday, April 22, and open lab sessions will begin Thursday, April 25. Watch for more details in LinkNotes, LinkNet and TriHealth e-mails.
