TriHealth is opening a medical office building in West Chester based on the medical-home model, which provides greater patient convenience and increased efficiency and collaboration among medical professionals.

Group Health West Chester, a 49,000-square-foot, two-story building at 8040 Princeton Glendale Road will open in the fall of 2014.

The building will house a variety of healthcare specialties and services, including family medicine, adult medicine, orthopedics, rheumatology, podiatry, otolaryngology (ENT), endocrinology, obstetrics, pediatrics, allergy, dermatology, general surgery, colon and rectal surgery, gastroenterology (digestive health), physical therapy, imaging, a laboratory, a pharmacy, audiology and hearing aid services and conference rooms for public education.

This new location allows TriHealth and Group Health to relocate their physician practice currently located in Springdale at 55 Progress Place. Duke Realty owns and manages the new medical office building, with TriHealth’s Group Health leasing the office space from Duke.

The unique design of the facility is based on an innovative “medical home” model which includes practices and services that are in close proximity and shared spaces such as check-in and check-out and office administration.

“This unique design minimizes the time patients need to move around the facility for care,” said Scott L. Slivka, MD an orthopedic surgeon with Group Health in Springdale. “It provides enhanced patient convenience and increased efficiency and collaboration among the healthcare professionals within the location.”

“We anticipate gaining enhanced market visibility through providing these unified diagnostic and medical services at one convenient location. This additional location supports our goal to make care more accessible and to provide more comprehensive services in West Chester,” said Jerry Oliphant, executive vice president and chief operating officer.
