August 22, 2018I am pleased to announce that Tamara Ward has been given an expanded role within TriHealth. Formerly the executive director of Managed Care, Tamara will now serve in the newly created position of vice president of Managed Care and Network Operations.
In this role, she will retain her responsibility for TriHealth’s managed care operations and assume executive oversight of TriHealth Benefit Solutions (TBS) – TriHealth’s third-party administrator for team member health care benefits. We are continuously looking for ways to break down silos and increase the efficiency of our administrative functions. The synergies between managed care and TBS made this position a natural fit, and Tamara’s proven leadership and track record of success made her the ideal choice to fill this role.
Over the past year and a half leading Managed Care for TriHealth, Tamara has led strategies that include development of TriHealth’s Clinically Integrated Network, progressive risk-based contracting- increasing TriHealth’s lives under a value-based care from 10,000 to over 248,000. Tamara led innovative work teams to improve TriHealth’s Value Based Contract performance from 32 percent of earned opportunity to more than 72 percent, resulting additional revenue to the organization for improved quality. And she operationalized the TPHO’s Clinically Integrated Network, selling its capabilities to our payer partners.
Through her leadership at TriHealth, Tamara was the first among 800 leaders to receive both TriHealth’s Finance Pillar award for exceptional financial performance and the Florence Nightingale Ax Award for transformational leadership.
Join me in congratulating Tamara and wishing her continued success.
