Sandra Lobert, president and CEO of Hospice of Cincinnati, has informed me of her decision to retire later this year after nearly 20 years of dedicated service to hospice. Sandra has yet to determine the exact date of her retirement; nonetheless, we have begun a search for a replacement who can build on her accomplishments and promote growth in an increasingly competitive hospice landscape.
Sandra’s association with Hospice of Cincinnati began when she joined its Board of Trustees and served on various Board committees and even as the Board Chair for two years. In 2009, she was named president and CEO. Before joining Hospice of Cincinnati, Sandra had a 28-year career at Fifth-Third Bank, serving in various leadership roles.
During Sandra’s tenure, Hospice of Cincinnati experienced considerable growth and remains the leading hospice organization in the region and one of the most respected in the country, despite intensifying competition. As a Board member, Sandra was very active in the founding of the HOC Diversity Committee, with the purpose of expanding its reach to underserved populations and ensuring the delivery of culturally competent care – a goal that was achieved under her executive leadership.
Hospice of Cincinnati has four inpatient locations – in Anderson, Blue Ash, College Hill and Hamilton – and offers home-based care and grief counseling. It also sponsors the Fernside Center for Grieving Children. Hospice of Cincinnati has become an important part of TriHealth, allowing us to provide care throughout a lifetime – ranging from world-class prenatal care to compassionate and comprehensive end-of-life services for patients and their families.
Sandra has built a strong team and nurtured a culture that I am confident will continue to deliver best-in-class care and services during this transitional period. We will celebrate Sandra’s career with us as her retirement date nears. For now, please join me in thanking Sandra for all she has done for Hospice of Cincinnati, TriHealth and our community.
