Randy CurnowAfter conducting a search to find a new leader for TriHealth’s Physician Hospital Organization (TPHO), Randy Curnow, MD, has formally accepted the position of President TPHO. Dr. Curnow had been serving as interim president since last Oct. 1. Laura Trice, MD, who has been president for the past five years, stepped down on Sept. 28 to return full-time to her medical practice.

Many of you already know Dr. Curnow, as he has been with TriHealth since January 2017, serving as Medical Director of Ambulatory Services. In that role, he serves as senior physician overseeing TriHealth’s population health efforts, leads inpatient and outpatient care coordination programs, and serves as Medical Director for TriHealth’s Employee Health Plan.

A primary care internist for 20 years, Dr. Curnow has more than a decade of experience managing accountable care organizations, including senior executive for ACO services for one of the largest independent primary care group in Tennessee. He also served as president of Mercy’s Statewide ACO, Mercy Health Select. He has been recognized as a national leader in care delivery redesign, including serving as national chair of the National Committee for Quality Assurance’s Patient Centered Medical Home Committee in 2013, as well as chair of the NCQA’s Clinical Programs committee since 2014.
