Last month, we shared with you our decision to transition management and operations of our Food and Nutrition Services (FANS) to “in-house” TriHealth employed leaders, aimed at improving our TriHealth Signature Patient Experience, improving the safety, reliability and quality of our food, and achieving greater operational efficiencies. As follow up, I am pleased to announce that Michael Montemurro has joined us as TriHealth’s new Director of Food and Nutrition Services. Michael will report to London Quicci, who will oversee our FANS management and operations across all TriHealth facilities. 

Michael brings a wealth of experience, both as a FANS leader in the healthcare industry for the past 13 years and as a culinary expert for privately-owned restaurants and corporate restaurant groups. Our leadership team was especially impressed with Michael’s recent experience as Director of Food and Nutrition Services at HCA Healthcare, which provided him critical insight in leading the transition of 13 hospital-based FANS operations from sub-contractors to self-operations. Michael’s immediate focus at TriHealth will be to build a high-caliber team focused enhance our overall patient experience and committed to TriHealth’s journey to become a High Reliability Organization in their service to patients, team members and visitors. 

Michael is a graduate of the New England Culinary Institute and is currently working towards achieving his MBA in Operations and Supply Chain Management. Prior to joining TriHealth, he served as Director of Food and Nutrition Services for HCA Healthcare and as Corporate Director of Food Services for the GEO Group, where he led teams and created menus for 60 facilities.
