TriHealth Bridge

It is with mixed emotions that I write to inform our TriHealth family that Brett Kirkpatrick – executive director of McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital and interim executive director of Bethesda Butler Hospital – has made the decision to accept the position of President and CEO of Community First Solutions, a non-profit organization based in Hamilton that provides senior living, post-acute care, pharmacy and behavioral health services throughout the region. He will start his new role later this summer.

We are starting a search immediately, considering both internal and external candidates, to identify the right leader to replace Brett, so we can maintain and build on the positive momentum we’ve seen at both hospitals. In the interim, I have complete trust in the continued onsite leadership of Pam Collins, the chief patient services officer at MHMH, and Mili Shelton, director of hospital operations, and Anne Seibert, director of nursing, at Bethesda Butler.

In addition, Steve Mombach, our senior vice president of ambulatory services and network development, will provide executive support for both McCullough-Hyde and Bethesda Butler during the search process. Steve has a long history and relationships with MHMH and Bethesda Butler – as he was an integral part of the transition management team when MHMH and Butler joined the TriHealth family.

For some time, Brett’s career goal has been to lead an organization as a CEO.  And, while I am happy for Brett and his family that he now has this opportunity, I am nonetheless sad to see him leave TriHealth.  Brett’s eleven years and progressive leadership experience within TriHealth have undoubtedly helped to prepare him for success in the next chapter of his career. He joined us as director of senior services and has held a variety of leadership roles, including executive director of ambulatory services prior to assuming his current role. As a testament to his leadership, we’ve experienced improved performance at these locations in terms of financial results, outcomes and team member engagement.

Please join me in thanking Brett for his many contributions to TriHealth and wishing him well in his new career path.
