Three TriHealth nurses were honored as Florence Nightingale Award winners at the 22nd annual Florence Nightingale Awards for Excellence in Nursing ceremony, Wednesday, April 9, at the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati. TriHealth had three of the six winners this year.

Lindy Mathes RN, Bethesda North, David Sens RN, Bethesda Butler and Virginia Summe RN, Good Samaritan hospitals were selected by the UC College of Nursing's Board of Advisors from a nomination pool of 275 area nurses. Each will receive $1,000 and a commemorative award. 

"What an extraordinary honor for these three dedicated nurses," said Mary Irvin MSN, MBA, RN,NEA-BC, senior vice president and chief nurse executive. "It is also quite an honor for TriHealth to have three of the six winners this year. It once again shows the high quality of nursing care provided at TriHealth."
