TriHealth Bridge

April 14, 2017

Hi Team –

In just a couple of weeks, we’ll be coming together to participate in our fourth TriHealth Leadership Development Institute (LDI).  As you are now well aware, the LDIs are the consistent, system-wide vehicle through which we are introducing, teaching – and ultimately, hardwiring – the practices that define our signature “TriHealth Way… of Leading, Serving and Delivering Care.”  And I’m pleased to share that, thanks to you and your hard work, we are receiving encouraging feedback from team members that this investment is paying off!

Last month, nearly 8,000 team members completed a Leadership Effectiveness Assessment – and the scores were impressive!  On a scale of 1 – 5, the average overall score was 4.5, or 90% positive, meaning team members largely affirmed that you – our leaders – are embracing the TriHealth Way of Leading practices – and it’s making a real difference!  And true to form, when better practices are adopted and mastered, improved team member engagement follows.  Our most recent Team Member Pulse Survey results showed similar improvement with engagement satisfaction scores, which are now solidly in the top quartile!  This is a great proof point of the value and impact of the LDI, especially when you consider that these scores were near the bottom quartile just 12 months ago.  Most importantly, it’s a wonderful endorsement of your commitment and hard work to embrace and adopt a new and better way – The TriHealth Way.  I can’t thank you enough for all you are doing to truly elevate TriHealth from good to great.  We have made remarkable progress in a relatively short period of time, and I look forward to continuing to build on this momentum with you in the months ahead!

Preparing for the April LDI

Please plan to attend our upcoming LDI on April 26-27, 2017 at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. The theme for the upcoming LDI is “Moments of Truth: Why Every Single Interaction Matters,” and it begins the next phase of our TriHealth Way work focused on “Serving.”  Our aim through this work is to establish a “signature” TriHealth Way Patient Experience that is marked by truly exceptional service – provided to every person we serve, at every encounter.  We will also provide updates on the SOAR Councils’ progress over the last 90 days, and demonstrate some of the new tools the councils have developed to help us continue to bring our new TriHealth Way to life.  You’ll return to your teams from this LDI with additional resources and practices to help hardwire those Moments of Truth that matter most in both serving our patients and supporting all those who do.

What’s Next:  This week, you will receive an invite from the LDI calendar to hold April 26th and 27th on your schedule. Please note that LDI participation is mandatory.  Any absences must be excused by your area leadership team.  Those unable to attend will be required to attend a “make up session.”  You’ll also be sent the logistics information necessary to plan for the LDI, including parking and venue details, pre-work assignments and instructions for downloading the LDI app.  Remember, engaging with your fellow leaders on the app is encouraged and fun!  Look for this information soon from the LDI planning team, and if you have any questions or need assistance, please email ldi@trihealth.com

Thank you for your continued commitment to fully prepare yourself to be an outstanding leader as we work together to make TriHealth great for all those we serve.  I look forward to seeing you on the 26th!
