On November 15-16, TriHealth leaders came together to participate in our 6th quarterly two-day Leadership Development Institute (LDI). The LDIs are part of our system-wide organizational development program through which we are introducing, teaching and, ultimately, hardwiring the evidence-based practices that define our new “TriHealth Way… of Leading, Serving and Delivering Care.”
I regularly hear from TriHealth team members and physicians that our more than 800 leaders are increasingly embracing and exhibiting the TriHealth Way through leader rounding, thank you notes, reinforcement of the Always Behaviors and AIDET + the Promise, and the encouragement of Bright Ideas. And you often tell me you’re experiencing the positive impact of our leaders attending LDIs and their commitment to better support you with these leadership best practices!
While we’re making good progress, the way we become an even better organization for our team members, physicians and most importantly our patients is by mastering and consistently applying these behaviors. That is why we dedicated this LDI to reinforcing the principles and practices we’ve already introduced. The LDI theme was “Mastering the Skills, Leading the Way,” and the learning objective was simple - help our leaders move from being consciously skilled (where we need to apply intentional effort to consistently use our new leader tools and practices) to unconsciously skilled where the practices become second nature to us, becoming simply how we lead.
Remember, it’s not just leader education and development that we’re investing in – we’re committing many resources to help you, our team members, learn and grow too! We are engaging team members in interactive discussions and development activities, including New Realities Conversations, Always Behaviors, First Impression, HEARD Service Recovery, and Peer Interviewing. And of course all the LDI content is available for our team members to enjoy, right here on LinkNet.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to help us all embrace and adopt The TriHealth Way! The investments we’re making in our team members and leaders are contributing to remarkable progress on our journey from good to great – and we’re grateful for your hard work and dedication to our mission!
