By now, we hope you have heard about the nine SOAR (Serving Others, Achieving Results) action councils, as part of The TriHealth Way. The purpose of the Standards Council, one of the action councils, is to create and communicate specific and observable standards of behavior that align with and support TriHealth’s Mission, Vision and Values (SERVE), so that everyone in the organization knows and understands the behaviors/actions expected of every team member. In short, the Standards council is creating the critical few behaviors that demonstrate our SERVE values, and that will be expected from 100% of our team members, 100% of the time. Why do we need these standards of behaviors? One of the ways we will become the region’s leading healthcare system is for all team members to exhibit behaviors that demonstrate our values consistently across the organization. Not only do these standards outline how we will SERVE our customers, guests, and community, but also how we will SERVE each other.
Our leaders wanted to ensure that team members were part of developing these critical standards of behavior. Several of your fellow team members are part of the Standards council. Additionally, the Standards council members sought input and feedback from around 200 team members.
We are nearly finished with the Standards and will be sharing them with you when finalized.
We also want to take this opportunity to recognize the Standards Council team members and to thank them for taking on this critical work of defining how we will live out our values to SERVE our patients, community and each other.
