TriHealth Bridge

October 19, 2018

Next week on October 24 and 25, TriHealth leaders will be off-site participating in our tenth Leadership Development Institute (LDI) at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. These LDIs are central to our work of building a common, high-performing TriHealth culture by developing leaders and engaging team members and physicians through the TriHealth Way of Leading, Serving and Delivering Care. Advancing this work is foundational in our journey from good to great, as it is preparing us to lead the way in “getting healthcare right” – better care, better health and better value.

Now, more than two years into our five-year journey – and during a time of unprecedented industry disruption and change – we are making encouraging progress (progress recognized by independent organizations such as IBM Watson, Anthem, Studer Group, and others). However, we are understandably “feeling the pressure” from this necessarily prolonged change agenda. Our new norm now includes many new TriHealth Way evidence-based practices to learn, teach and embed in our daily routines; at the same time, we are adapting to new healthcare market dynamics that require all healthcare systems to deliver more affordable care and improved health through innovative care and payment models. This is not easy work, but it is the right work; so it’s essential we help our leaders, physicians and team members “to stay the course” and remain engaged and energized along the way. To do so, we’ve custom-designed the October LDI to offer leaders a midway checkpoint to “reflect and recharge,” as well as learn new tools and techniques to “work smarter” and to help build resilience – in themselves, and in our team members and physicians.

Titled, “Reflect...Refresh...Thrive,” the October LDI will focus on both personal wellness/renewal and techniques for working more effectively through prioritization and delegation. Leaders will be sharing highlights from the October LDI with their team members in the weeks to come.

Thank you to all team members for supporting your leaders next week as they take the necessary time away from their daily responsibilities to participate in this important LDI. Teaching and reinforcing the new TriHealth Way practices helps us all be our best and give our best, enabling us to fulfill our promise of delivering the best quality, safety, clinical outcomes and service to every individual we serve, every day.
