More than 330 health care professionals participated in the 14th annual TriHealth Senior Services Symposium to learn more about health care for older adults.
The event, presented by TriHealth and co-sponsored by Skilled Care Pharmacy, was hosted Oct. 23 at the Manor House in Mason, where attendees heard from a variety of speakers on topics from HIPAA and social media to patient-centered medical homes, the changing face of long-term health care and ways to improve health outcomes.
Steve Mombach, vice president of Ambulatory Services, Corporate Health and Seniors Health, talked about TriHealth's commitment to serving the geriatric population.
"TriHealth's continuum of care is aligned with the needs of seniors through thoughtful, coordinated care during times of critical need through our growing network of care providers and through long-term care and other community based resources," he said.
"Our goal is to do the right thing the first time for our older patients."
In addition, vendors who serve the geriatric population set up tables at the event to provide information.
