Get out and get active by registering now for Ellie's Run for SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) - formerly called Ellie and Tyler's Run. The 10k and 4-mile run/walks start at 9 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 13, at Miami Whitewater Park.
This event raises money to further SIDS research and community education and to provide financial assistance to families who have lost a child to SIDS. TriHealth participates in this event because of the direct impact on babies born at our hospitals. With funds from this event, Cribs for Kids (one of the funding recipients) has been able to provide more than 1,200 portable cribs over the past five years to patients at Bethesda North and Good Samaritan hospitals. This aligns with TriHealth's commitment to prevent infant mortality and give babies the best start possible.
Pre-register online by Aug. 30 ($20) to receive an Ellie's Run T-shirt: tylersrun.com/raceinfo.html. Day-of registration ($25) takes place from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.
All TriHealth participants will also receive a TriHealth T-shirt to show team support. To ensure you receive a T-shirt, when registering online, include "-TriHealth" in the last name field (e.g., LAST NAME: Miller-TriHealth). On race day, meet up with the TriHealth Team at the TriHealth booth at the Miami Whitewater Harbor area near the race starting line. For more information, contact team leaders Jill Richardson at Good Samaritan, 513 862 3338, or Mary Kay Heldman, Bethesda North 513 865 1348.
