Stephen J. Lewis, MD, a cardiologist with the TriHealth Heart Institute, has been designated as a Specialist in Clinical Hypertension by the American Society of Hypertension, one of about 60 such designated specialists in the state of Ohio.
Hypertension is the medical term for high blood pressure, a silent disease that without proper treatment can increase the risk of heart attack, stroke and other serious health problems.
The Specialist in Clinical Hypertension designation was created by ASH to identify and recognize physicians with expert skills and knowledge in the management of clinical hypertension and related disorders. These physicians can act as local and regional consultants for more complex and difficult cases.
