Feghali-GeorgesDr. Georges Feghali, senior vice president of quality and chief medical officer, will retire Dec. 31 and become the chief medical officer at Al Noor Hospitals in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The decision to leave TriHealth was difficult for Dr. Feghali, but the opportunity to work in an exciting new place with a vibrant culture and vast growth potential was too good to pass up.

Dr. Feghali joined Good Samaritan in 1986 as an internal medicine faculty member. He was the director of the hospital's Department of Medicine from 1997 to 2008. He served as medical director, then as vice president of medical affairs from 2002 to 2008, and in 2008 was appointed senior vice president of quality and chief medical officer.

In 2008 and 2009, Dr. Feghali was an examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the highest quality award given to a U.S. company.

In a note to John Prout, president and CEO, Dr. Feghali wrote:

"TriHealth has been like a family to me and I am proud of all the accomplishments, awards and recognitions we have earned over the years, as well as the culture of quality that is now engrained in this fine organization.

Most of all, I am eternally grateful for the people I have had the opportunity to work with over the years. I leave an organization that is mature, stable, caring, value-driven, with some of the best and brightest friends and colleagues I know."

TriHealth will follow its normal process to find a replacement for Dr. Feghali.
