After 16 successful years with TriHealth, Chief Information Officer Rick Moore will retire on Dec. 5.

"Rick has done an outstanding job, and we will miss his leadership. I am very grateful for all that he has done on behalf of the organization," said Will Groneman, executive vice president of system development.

"During his tenure, Rick has consistently demonstrated the values that we aspire to in our leaders in TriHealth. Additionally, he is held in high regard by his peers in the local health care community, as exemplified by his role as a board member on the Greater Cincinnati Health Council and the Health Cabinet."

Rick has served as chief information officer since 1998. He held a similar position prior to this at Kettering Health Network in the Dayton area. He has been in the health care information technology field for more than 30 years. 

 At TriHealth, Rick has been responsible for the I.T. strategy and operations of the health system. Some of Rick's many achievements at TriHealth include:

  • TriHealth receiving HIMSS (Health Information Management Systems Society) Stage 7 (the highest level) recognition for the deployment and adoption of electronic medical records 
  • TriHealth receiving the American Hospital Association annual "Most Wired" award six times, along with the HealthBridge Innovation Award
  • Growing the I.S. department from 79 to 230 team members.
  • Leading the implementation of scores of new systems, including Meditech and TriHealth Connect.
  • Being named one of 20 CIOs to receive Cincinnati's I.T. Leadership Award from Lead Cincinnati magazine.
