Opening Prayer

Leader:

I remind you to stir into flame the gift of God that you have through the imposition of my hands. For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power, love and self-control. (2 Tm 6-7)

All:

God of Creation, we gather this day and call forth your guidance and wisdom on our deliberations. Breathe on the quiet embers of our lives and stir into flame the inner fire that inspires action, insight and compassion.
