Eternal God,
we are about to begin our meeting and we do so with the awareness that without your Divine Presence here at the center of our meeting and also within ourselves, our coming together will be empty. Grace us with Your Wisdom and Vision, gift us with your holy humor and Humility so that not only this gathering but all our lives may be a meeting place for your kingdom.

Let us pray together:

God of Wisdom and Vision, grace us,

• With openness to Your people and Your constant call,
• With a deeper understanding of the importance of effective leadership, with patience to allow the unfolding of things in their own time,
• With decisiveness which weighs options and invites participation,
• With optimism, steadiness, and a strong constitution,
• With wisdom to act in the best interest of those we serve.

We ask this through Your Son, Jesus, who lives now and forever.
