Preliminary judging for the 2015 Quality, Safety and Service Excellence Days was held on Tuesday, March 10, at the TriHealth Fitness and Health Pavilion.
“The Quality, Safety and Service Excellence projects that were displayed at the preliminary judging demonstrated a tremendous amount of effort and commitment” said Judie Conley MSN, RN, Senior Performance Improvement Consultant. “The judges were very impressed with the high quality of all of the poster presentations.”
The top ten winning projects (listed with group spokesperson) in no specific order are:
- Together We Can Achieve “No Patient Falls” – Kathy Eten
- Standardizing Handoff of Cardiac Surgery Patients: OR to ICU – Sheila Boegli
- Throughput from ED to Behavioral Health – Judy Mitchell
- Easing the Financial Burden - Rita McCauslin
- Anticipating need: Improving call light response on a medical surgical unit – Deb Cummings
- Improving Postpartum Care of Gestational Diabetes Patients – David Dhanraj, MD
- OB Transfers at Non-OB Facility Emergency Dept. – Maryann Niehaus-O’Toole
- Getting Residents to the Code Destination Efficiently – Michelle Louis, MD
- Defining Health Care Acquired Pneumonia – Sharon Krug
- Anesthesia Tech Project – Tracy Briede
Judges for the preliminary round were Scott Woods, MD, Christy Brown, Jeff Heist, Hank Kerschan, Vicky Gabbard and Jamie Easterling.
Final judging will take place on Tuesday, March 17. People’s Choice voting will be available on LinkNet from March 30 to April 3.
