Employees at Radiation Oncology at Good Samaritan have received a Spirit of Compassion donation from a patient who appreciated the care he received.
Dr. Shehata, Kathy Flicker, Sharon Mitchell, Angie Wise, Lynda Sabers, Jackie McDonald, and others were recognized.
"They will always be my angels on earth," the patient wrote in a note, thanking the staff.
"The entire staff at/in Radiation Oncology treated me like I was a king. Always a warm greeting followed by excellent and thorough medical care. I felt as though these folks truly cared how I was doing and feeling God Bless them all!"
The Spirit of Compassion program allows a patient or his or her family to make a donation in honor of a Good Samaritan physician, nurse or staff member who made a difference during their stay, and also share a brief note of thanks.
