The TriState Nursing Excellence Collaboration (TNEC) is now accepting abstracts that showcase staff nurse led initiatives to improve patient care for its 2nd Annual TriState Nursing Excellence Symposium: Sharing Innovation and Best Practice. The event will be on April 11, 2014 at the Sharonville Convention Center. Abstracts must be emailed no later than Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.
Interested nurses should fill out the abstract submission form found here. The abstract should include (when applicable):
- Background information
- The aim of the improvement
- A description of the methods, programs, or practices
- A description of the outcomes
- A conclusion
Selected abstracts will be allotted either a 20-minute time slot for a podium presentation (15 minute presentation with five minutes for questions) or a poster presentation. Please indicate on the abstract submission form if there is a preference to only do a poster presentation. To support professional development, TNEC will have coaches available to assist those staff nurses with accepted abstracts with their presentation preparation.
Abstracts should contain original work. Work that is in progress can also be submitted, but include expected outcomes.
TNEC is a group of the Magnet Coordinators from Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area hospitals. Their aim is to provide staff nurses in the tri-state with an opportunity to share best practices and innovations that have had positive effects on patient care. In addition, this symposium supports the professional development of area nurses through poster and podium presentations.
