TriHealth Bridge

Hewitt-Kim-150xFor Kim Hewitt, an occupational therapist at Good Samaritan, patient care does not stop at the hospital doors.

Kim, who works part-time in the rehabilitation services unit, recently helped a man with serious orthopedic injuries he incurred at work. For a safe transition home, he required durable medical equipment from an outside vendor; however, the equipment did not arrive at the hospital until after the patient was discharged.

To ensure the patient was safe, Kim personally delivered the equipment to his home after her full day of work on a Friday.

Kim’s supervisor, Kathy Harrison, says Kim “is always one of her patients’ best advocates.”

“She is driven to provide excellent customer service and works diligently to ensure our patients are achieving at their highest level of functional performance,” Kathy says.

Thank you, Kim, for bringing to life the TriHealth mission of improving the health status of the people we serve.
