Michael Crofton has been named TriHealth's senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective Sept. 1.

Mike, currently vice president of finance, joined TriHealth as controller in 2001. Since then, he has led the finance team through TriHealth's extensive growth and successful financial outcomes.

Among his many accomplishments, he directed the successful implementation of the EPIC patient billing system and restructured his department to better meet the needs of an integrated health system. In his role leading purchasing, Mike identified more than $8 million in cost savings as part of TriHealth 2020.

Before joining TriHealth, he was chief financial officer of Deaconess Hospital. Mike earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Cincinnati and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. His community involvement includes being a member of the Seton High School Board. 

Mike's new role is currently filled by Craig Rucker who is retiring.
