Melissa Garrison and Jill Strotman recently were honored with a donation through the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation's Spirit of Compassion program.
The Spirit of Compassion program allows a patient or his or her family to make a donation in honor of a Good Samaritan physician, nurse or staff member who made a difference during their stay, and also share a brief note of thanks.
The grandparents of a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) newborn sent in a note expressing gratitude for the wonderful care received.
"We could tell Melissa really cared about our grandson (and all her babies/patients). It was so wonderful how she helped our son and daughter-in-law throughout the whole process," the note said.
"Jill eased our fears and always was so chipper and full of positive attitude. Whenever we experienced disappointment she always made us feel better."
