Melissa Kennedy has been appointed to the position of Executive Director for TriHealth's Women's Institute, effective Monday, June 23.
Melissa's role will be providing executive leadership in the delivery of the Women's Institute's strategic, financial, operational and programmatic objectives.
Melissa joins TriHealth after serving as principal for Kramer and Kennedy LLC where she provided consultation and project implementation in the areas of strategic health care operations, payment-reform pilot projects, large-scale project evaluation for national and regional health care organizations and business plan development for health care start-ups. Her client list at Kramer and Kennedy included The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Health Care Incentives Improvement Institute.
Prior to that, Melissa served as the senior director, Operations; director, Cincinnati Aligning Forces for Quality for The Health Improvement Collaborative of Cincinnati for five years. Her major accomplishments included successfully designing and executing an award winning health care transparency initiative, developing the first multi-payer claims database in the region and successfully negotiating contracts enabling voluntary submission of claims data from five regional and national health plans. She then translated the data into multi-payer reports regarding health care cost and quality so that practice level efficiency information could be shared with 25 patient-centered medical home practices in Cincinnati.
Melissa is a graduate of Lake Forest College, Lake Forest, Ill., and earned her MHA from The Ohio State University.
