Melissa Auvil, a social worker, received the "Living a Faith That Does Justice Award" from the Social Ministries Advisory and Coordination Committee. This award highlights Melissa's efforts as she coordinates medical mission trips to Uganda, specifically the remote village of Kabingo.  Donations of supplies and medical equipment facilitate the work of serving the needs of 2,200 patients in 2012 alone. Although Melissa and Dr. Dallas Auvil organize this trip together, many folks here in the TriHealth organization assist with this trip and attend it yearly. The support from so many has made a very big impact on the health and welfare of the villagers in Kabingo.
