June 10, 2019
Hi Team!
It's that time again to complete our annual Team Member and Physician Engagement Surveys - and we need every TriHealth team member and physician to participate, so we can continue to
improve in meaningful ways that make TriHealth a great health system for those we serve and those
who serve!
Over the weekend, I mailed to your homes a detailed letter providing highlights of the: key themes and improvement opportunities YOU identified through our 2018 Engagement Survey results and
Focus Groups; the many significant system actions we took over the past year in response; and the numerous
internal achievements and external recognition that occurred as a result (click here to review).
Because of your feedback and the subsequent improvements being made, TriHealth is increasingly being recognized and celebrated as a top industry performer, and a benchmark and model for getting healthcare right. Most importantly, through you, our 12,000+ team members, we are delivering on our promise to provide better care, better health and better value to every patient we serve. To keep this positive momentum going, we need you to, once again, let us know how we're doing.
Please Take the 2019 Engagement Survey - June 10 - 23.* The link to the confidential survey will be emailed to you later this morning by Press Ganey, so be on the lookout for it in your inbox! The survey is fast and easy to take - under 10 minutes! The Team Member Engagement Survey can also be accessed from your mobile device, simply text SURVEY2019 to 22333 (Please note, the Physician Engagement Survey is not available through this smartphone option).
Help us achieve 100% participation! The more team members we hear from, the better we can assess what's going well and where we can continue to improve. Those who complete the survey in the first week will be eligible for some great prizes, so don't delay! Look for more details on LinkNet and in your inbox.
Plan to Attend a Team Member Forum - June 11 - 19. This week, we begin our summer series of Team Member Forums (click here for schedule), and I hope you are all planning to participate! The Forums provide a great opportunity to engage in conversations about our system and our progress and plans underway to continue our sacred work to get healthcare right. Get your questions answered by me and other senior leaders and share what's on your mind - as well as enjoy refreshments, win great prizes and have some fun with fellow team members! You can even complete the Team Member Engagement Survey - on the spot - using the text option above. I look forward to seeing you there!
Thank you for all you do to make TriHealth a great place to work, to practice and to receive the safest, highest quality care. I am proud and privileged to work side by side with each and every one of you, and look forward to doing even more in the year ahead to make your experience at TriHealth the best it can be!
*If you have been with TriHealth for less than 90 days, you are not eligible to participate in the 2019 Team Member Engagement Survey. Instead, you will be asked to participate in the New Hire Survey following six months of employment.

Weekly Huddle Message: Using the HEARD Model
Customer retention is key as healthcare increases focus on value-based care. Using the HEARD model as a means of Service Recovery is a way to improve patient/customer loyalty. Service Recovery is everyone's responsibility at TriHealth. This week's Huddle Challenge is to role play a Service Recovery opportunity that is relevant to your department (use these examples to get started), using the HEARD model. After completion, validate positive observations and opportunities for improvement. Click here to access the HEARD Model tip sheet.
