I could not be more excited to share that last week IBM Watson Health™ announced it has once again selected TriHealth as one of the 15 Top Health Systems in the nation, marking the second consecutive year and fourth time overall we have been recognized with this honor! Learn more about the award on LinkNet.
This award - which spotlights the correlation between healthcare system integration and exceptional performance - is an independent and external validation of the marked progress TriHealth is making in its transformational journey from good to great, ultimately to get healthcare right. By delivering on the Triple Aim of better health, better care, and better value, we are leading the way as a model of healthcare excellence in our community and across the nation.
This highly coveted industry recognition and other recent system achievements would simply not be possible without you - our team members, physicians, nurses, and volunteers. Your many contributions and all that has been accomplished in bringing the TriHealth Way to life in just a few short years for every patient, in every encounter is nothing short of remarkable! I find the timing of this award especially appropriate as we approach two of our major system celebrations of our team members - Nurses Week and our inaugural Healthcare Appreciation Week - an inclusive, system-wide celebration of all of our healthcare providers and team members across TriHealth. We made this decision to celebrate Health System Week rather than just Hospital Week based on your direct feedback and the opportunity to celebrate ALL our frontline caregivers both in our hospitals and throughout all our 140+ sites of care and support services.
On behalf of our Board and all of our leaders, I want to express my deep appreciation and gratitude to our world class nursing team and to our entire team of healthcare providers for your dedication, hard work, and commitment in delivering on our sacred promise to provide exceptional quality and safety and an unparalleled "TriHealth Signature Experience" to every patient and family member, Always! Keep an eye on LinkNet in the weeks ahead for details on our celebrations to shine a light on the exceptional efforts of our nurses (week of May 6) and healthcare providers throughout TriHealth (week of May 20).
As we celebrate our Top 15 Health System award, and look forward to celebrating our nurses and healthcare teams in the coming weeks, let's also look back on some of our wins and achievements from the past month, including:
- TriHealth was recognized for the 8th consecutive year by Diversitylnc. as one of the Top 11 Hospitals and Health Systems in the nation for workplace diversity.
- HR Forums were held throughout the system - both in-person and online - to help explain and answer questions about benefits, particularly our upcoming Spring Open Enrollment for benefits. Read more below.
- TriHealth Evendale Hospital, Surgery Center West, Endoscopy Center North and the Hand Surgery Center successfully completed a rigorous, week-long survey by The Joint Commission with flying colors!
- Falls with Injury - a metric to help improve safety through reduction in falls - decreased for the third month in a row, an encouraging sign of progress in our journey to Zero Harm!
- Good Samaritan Hospital was named once again as one of the nation's Top 100 Hospitals by IBM Watson.
- Bethesda North Hospital was named among the "World's Best Hospitals" by Newsweek, reinforcing TriHealth's reputation as a hospital respected among its peers and valued by its patients.
- Voalte, our new clinical communication platform, expanded to Good Samaritan Hospital and Good Samaritan Western Ridge.
Thank you to all our team members, physicians and volunteers for making TriHealth the place where our people most want to work, where our physicians most want to practice and where the community increasingly chooses to receive their care.
