I am excited to share that this week is National Patient Experience Week. And, here at TriHealth, we're hard at work creating a safe, respectful, reliable and caring culture that consistently delivers exceptional quality and an unmatched care experience to each and every patient, making them feel like they are our number one priority. And that's because they are! Part of what makes TriHealth - and the care we deliver - so special is our talented and diverse workforce and provider community that increasingly is mirroring our community, which enables our system to deliver culturally sensitive and competent care and an unparalleled experience to all populations of patients and families in the Greater Cincinnati region.
So, I'm proud to report that for the 8th year running, TriHealth has been recognized by Diversitylnc. as one of the Top 11Hospitals and Health Systems in the nation for workplace diversity in key areas such as talent pipeline and development, leadership accountability and supplier diversity. And, just two weeks ago, TriHealth's commitment to diversity-and the progress we have made in recent years-was showcased at Cincinnati's Annual Supplier Diversity Symposium. As encouraging as these external recognitions are, our work is not done and it's up to each of us - at all levels of the organization - to truly understand that great experiences are only possible when each unique individual is honored and cared for as a person, regardless of religion, culture, race, gender or income level. By combining excellent care and respectful caring, we are getting healthcare right for those we serve. Thank you to all our team members and physicians whose caring makes TriHealth the best and most welcoming place for patients to receive care.
Successful Joint Commission Survey at TriHealth Evendale
Last Friday afternoon, The Joint Commission (TJC) completed a week-long survey of TriHealth Evendale Hospital, Surgery Center West, Endoscopy Center North and the Hand Surgery Center. Initial feedback was overwhelmingly positive and TJC surveyors were thoroughly impressed by our team members, culture and facilities. Congratulations to Kelvin Hanger, Suzy Jones, our leadership teams and team members for showing TJC "The TriHealth Way".

New Pillar Progress Report Format
Each month, the analytics team will put together a report of each pillar goal's performance over the past month in a format that is easy to read and understand. This new report will be loaded on LinkNet each month as a PDF download, making it easy for any leader or team member to access and understand system performance.

Message for Huddles: 3-Way Repeat Back
One of the tools we can use to communicate clearly is 3-Way Repeat Back. When information is transferred, the Sender initiates the communication using the Receiver's Name. The Sender provides the information to the Receiver in a clear, concise format. The Receiver then acknowledges receipt by a repeat-back of the information. And finally, the Sender acknowledges the accuracy of the repeat-back by saying "That's correct!" Train your ears to listen for "That's Correct!" - it's a Tri Health Safety Phrase for "we understand each other."
