TriHealth Bridge

April 19, 2016

Hi Team –

With Board adoption of our new strategic plan in March, we have begun the next exciting phase of TriHealth’s journey to achieve our vision of becoming a great place for team members to work, for physicians to practice and for our community to receive the best care possible to live better.  One of the most important ways in which we will be successful on this journey is to ensure our leaders have the skills and resources they need to bring out the best in our people, our teams and our patient care during this time of industry change and transformation.

To fully prepare our leaders for this vital role, TriHealth has created a comprehensive and customized leadership development program in which all of our TriHealth managers and leaders will participate in quarterly Leadership Development Institutes (LDIs).  The LDIs are the vehicle through which we will introduce and teach specific, evidenced-based leadership, people and service practices that will make up the new, standardized “TriHealth Way... of Leading and Serving.”  This new approach to leadership is designed to foster and reward higher levels of team member satisfaction and engagement, innovation and continuous improvement – and, ultimately, improved service, quality and safety.  These are essential foundational requirements for achieving our strategic plan goals.  They are also the drivers that will enable TriHealth to become a fully-integrated system of exceptional care delivered consistently across all of our sites – a system that will thrive in an environment of greater accountability for value and improved health.

First LDI Takes Place April 21-22

On Thursday and Friday of this week, our more than 800 TriHealth leaders will convene off-site for two full days in our very first LDI.  The purpose of this inaugural LDI is to introduce and fully immerse all of our leaders – as ONE TriHealth Leadership Team – in our new leadership development approach, the philosophy behind it and the proven value it will bring to our people, our organization and, most importantly, those we serve.  Our leaders will also participate in interactive skills-building sessions where they will have the opportunity to work with other leaders throughout the system – learning more about each other, and the various perspectives, challenges and best practices that exist throughout the organization.

Following the LDI, our leaders will meet with you and other members of your team to share an overview of the LDI, including what they learned and what our team members and physicians can expect as we work together to make TriHealth a great organization for our people, our patients and our community.

Our organizing principle for these LDIs and our journey from good to great is simple: “great patient care and extraordinary service come from highly-engaged and energized team members and physicians who are supported by leaders and managers who embrace evidence based servant leadership and people practices”.

Thank you in advance for supporting your leaders as they participate in this valuable two-day learning and development opportunity – aimed at supporting our work in transforming TriHealth from Good to Great!!!!
