Lisa Humphrey, RN, BSN, Senior Performance Improvement Consultant, recently published an article in the Lean Management Journal (Issue 3, Vol. 3, April 2013), an internationally read, leading publication on lean and continuous improvement. She describes the work done in the TriHealth Heart Institute where the average time a patient spent in the office decreased from 77 to 55 minutes, and the average time in the waiting room decreased from 22 to 9 minutes.
