Improve your interactions with co-workers and patients from diverse cultural backgrounds through a new Diversity and Inclusion e-learn course.
Breakthrough Cultural Competence, offered to clinical and non-clinical team members, holistically approaches cultural competence in health care and provides professionals with comprehensive skill sets and strategies for communication.
"We believe by embracing diversity, we can create a more positive, professional environment, provide an enhanced and enriched work experience for our team members and physicians and promote continuous improvement to providing excellent and compassionate care," says Lisette Davis, director of Diversity Services.
Breakthrough Cultural Competence, which is CME/CE accredited, includes four modules for non-clinical team members and five for clinical team members with the following objectives:
- Describe the need and requirement for cultural competence in health care
- Identify and adopt elements of a positive mindset to accelerate career development
- Build trust and teamwork with colleagues
- Practice effective communication skills
- Integrate patient perspectives into your care (for clinical team members, only)
