Jay Koch has been appointed as the Executive Director for the TriHealth Orthopedic & Spine Institute, effective today, Feb. 11.

"Jay's experience, management style and proven leadership make him an ideal choice as the Executive Director for the Orthopedic & Spine Institute," said Chief Operating Officer Jerry Oliphant.

Koch comes to TriHealth from OhioHealth where he served as the Executive Director for Employer Services and Urgent Care for almost four years. In this position, Jay was responsible for the day-to-day operations of a 40-physicians and mid-levels employed by the OhioHealth hospital system with 10 practice locations and 13 on-site facilities. Prior to this, Jay served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Freiberg Orthopaedic Group in Cincinnati for four years (2005-2009) where he was responsible for the operations of a 22 physician member group practice as well as serving as the Vice President of Surgical Operations for HealthSouth in Cincinnati from 1999-2005.

Jay graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Exercise Science.
