Kathryn O'Keefe MD has joined TriHealth.

Dr. O'Keefe is a cardiac and thoracic surgeon with the TriHealth Heart Institute. She will see patients at the TriHealth Heart Institute Montgomery office.

Dr. O'Keefe specializes in performing cardiac surgery, coronary bypass surgery, valve replacement surgery, lung cancer surgery and esophageal cancer surgery, including minimally invasive lung resection surgery. She utilizes minimally invasive surgical procedures when appropriate, using small incisions without cutting open the chest to allow patients an easier, quicker recovery. Dr. O'Keefe is particularly interested in heart failure surgery as an option to treat end-stage heart failure.

Dr. O'Keefe earned her Medical Doctorate from the University of Toledo College of Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency at Grand Rapids Education Partners/Michigan State University. She recently completed a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Dr. O'Keefe is board certified in general surgery and board eligible in cardiothoracic surgery.
