Participate in the LifeStyles eight-week exercise challenge, Battle of the Departments - Let's Get Movin', and earn Healthy Living Scorecard credit while you're at it.
Organize a department team and track your steps or minutes together. Compete against other departments for the top prize. The point system is based on a weekly team average (see more details below).
The challenge will run from Feb. 2 to March 29.
Once your team is formed, choose a team captain and register here. Teams must be registered by Jan. 29.
Point System
Tracking sheets will be provided. Team captains will receive an email by the end of the day Jan. 30 with more information.
Individuals score points by tracking a certain number of steps or minutes of activity.
- 2,500 steps or 15 minutes of activity = 1 point
- 5,000 steps or 30 minutes of activity = 2 points
- 7,500 steps or 45 minutes of activity = 3 points
- 10,000 steps or 60 minutes of activity = 4 points
- 12,500 steps or 75+ minutes of activity = 5 points (maximum per day)
To earn Health Improvement Goal credit on the Healthy Living Scorecard, individuals must earn at least one point five days a week for the eight weeks of the challenge. (There are no other requirements to earn credit for your Health Improvement Goal for individuals who complete the challenge.)
