John Kidd of Information Technology, Anne Cooksey of Registration, and Carol Zupan of the Family Medical Center, have been recognized as Good Samaritan Firestarters No. 1 Team Members for the first quarter of 2014.

John was recognized for the month of January for his help in improving low faculty and student scores for information technology support in the Good Samaritan College of Nursing and Health Sciences. According to co-workers, John shows great leadership abilities while providing faculty and staff with technology updates. His help in troubleshooting computer issues has been invaluable and goes above and beyond what's expected.

Anne was recognized for the month of February. According to co-workers, she greets everyone with a smile and makes them feel valued and at ease.

"From the smile on her face to the softness in her voice, she truly embodies what it means to live the TriHealth values. The service she provides to our patients reflects on our entire department. She goes above and beyond. No other words could describe her, but to say that she is a beautiful aura. She inspires us all to be a better person. She is so deserving of this award for all that she has done and continues to do for Good Samaritan."

Carol was recognized for the month of March for her clear and consistent demonstration of TriHealth's values. According to co-workers, she greets everyone with a smile and has "lightened our spirits on many occasions."

The person who nominated Carol wrote, "I have seen Carol do the small things that go unnoticed such as leaving lunch to take a patient somewhere if they are lost. I have even seen her get ready to leave work and help people in distress. I have known Carol for 20 years and I have never seen her not smiling at someone. She is a valuable and tremendous asset to TriHealth, and for over 35 years here, she has looked out for the welfare of all patients, staff, visitors, etc. She is one of the most kind hearted people I have ever met, and she's a role model to all her co-workers, showing them respect."
