John Biers, of Bethesda North Surgery, has been recognized by the Bethesda Firestarters as the No. 1 Team Member for January. 

John, who is responsible for the DaVinci robots at the hospital, has been described by his co-workers in the following ways:

• He provides extraordinary customer service to the community and this OR team.
• He trains the surgeons to use the high tech robots, thus assuring the best possible outcome for the surgical patients.
• He is highly respected among the surgeons, the technical support staff, and his OR team.

John received a cash prize, a special parking spot for the month, refreshments for his department and a special No. 1 Team Member certificate.  He will also have his photo placed on the wall outside the Bethesda North cafeteria.
