Jodi Roedersheimer and Brittany Windholtz of 14AB at Good Samaritan have received a Spirit of Compassion donation from the family of a patient who appreciated the care he received.
In a note, a family member wrote:
"My father had knee replacement and there were no beds available on the eighth floor; hence, the reason for him being on the 14th floor. Because he was an ortho patient on the14th floor, RNs Brittney and Jodi went out of their way to understand what was needed in terms of his care with the ortho nurses that visited my father on the day of his surgery.
Not only was their care superb, but the caring, warmth and compassion they showed my father was above and beyond. My family is so appreciative of their care, knowing that he was given such terrific care during his stay at Good Sam. We want to say thank you to both of them for being not only such terrific nurses, but also being such terrific people. Thank you so much!"
The Spirit of Compassion program allows a patient or his or her family to make a donation in honor of a Good Samaritan physician, nurse or staff member who made a difference during their stay, and also share a brief note of thanks.
